After school and the army, at the age of 20, Talli planned to go to France and to study the french language. She went to the Consulate and was given an address of a family. I believe it was not in Paris itself.

 

The plan was to help with the children and she would have time to study French at a special school. When she arrived she was told that the mother was going to be hospitalized soon. Very soon the mother of 2 disappeared and Talli found herself being busy in the kitchen, looking after the children and running a household together with ,בעל הבית.

We were very upset and we did not have much information on how she managed. I believe we knew only what Talli wrote to us in her letters .... I don't think she complained that much. Eventually the mother came back home - I believe with a new baby...

After that she travelled down South to visit a new friend and the two of them did some sightseeing further South.

 

Maybe at the coted'azur? That was Talli's French adventure. Learning a new language, learning to take care of some small kids, and getting some new gastronomic French knowledge???  Maybe....

 

It was certainly a very cheeky way of taking advantage of a young lady who was maybe looking for an adventure !
